Berks Women in Crisis provides services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. "The mission of Berks Women in Crisis is to provide supportive services for victims and eliminate domestic and sexual violence in Berks County." We are committed to the understanding and prevention of personal and institutional violence against individuals. Our goal is it to improve the quality and the safety of victims’ lives by providing services, advocating for peace, and ultimately eliminating violence in society. Our free and confidential services include: Berks Women in Crisis also has other programs which may have a cost attached to them. Prevention education presentations and groups in Berks County schools, through PeaceWorks, our education and public relations project Educational presentations to colleges, child care centers, churches, social organizations, service agencies, businesses, government groups or any entity who requests a program through PeaceWorks Transitional housing at Sojourner Truth House, The Hilbert House, and The Emma Lazarus Place Childcare at Emma's Place 60-hour Educational Seminar offered twice a year; in the spring during Monday and Wednesday evenings and in the fall on Tuesday and Thursday mornings
