Prevention Educator

Responsibilities:  Provide outreach and education to the community (age appropriate curriculum for groups with children, teens, adults from Kindergarten through college plus community groups) involving domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

Hours:  Regular hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday; however, flexibility is needed to accommodate presentations in the community (some evening and weekend coverage may be necessary).

Requirements:  Bachelors degree in education or related field; experience teaching in a classroom setting a plus

Responsibilities:  Provide support, advocacy and referrals to women and children survivors of domestic and/or sexual assault in a shelter setting; answer hotline calls.

Hours:  7:00 am to 3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday every other weekend

Requirements:  Associates degree in human services or related filed; bachelors preferred plus 2 to 4 years experience in counseling and/or case management; ability to work independently and make sound decisions; fluency in Spanish and English a plus.

Salary:  Competitive salary ($15/hour) and benefits package available

Childcare Aide -- PT

Berks Women in Crisis is currently seeking a kind and loving aide to work with children and adolescents (ages 2 to 12) in their daycare, Emma's Place.  This 20 hour/week position is year-round Monday through Friday 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (flexible hours may be necessary to fill in).  High School diploma or GED plus experience workign with children required.
